Information you provide
Cyber Duct Tape may receive your name, email address, affected domain or server, support request, technical logs, system details, and other information you choose to send. Support engagements may also require temporary credentials or access instructions.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, diagnose and perform authorized work, communicate about an engagement, maintain security and business records, and improve services. Cyber Duct Tape does not sell personal information.
Email migration tool
The migration tool requires source and destination mailbox credentials to connect to the IMAP services you specify. Credentials are written to permission-restricted temporary files outside the public website, are not displayed in browser job output, and are deleted when the migration process exits. Private operational job logs are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Use provider-issued app passwords when available and revoke or rotate migration credentials after the job. Do not submit credentials unless you are authorized to access both mailboxes.
Retention and disclosure
Support correspondence and business records may be retained as reasonably necessary to provide service, document authorized work, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect systems. Information may be disclosed to a service provider when required to deliver the requested work, or when required by law. Sensitive access information should not be retained longer than operationally necessary.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. See the security practices page for operational guidance.
Your choices
You may ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction, or request deletion where retention is not legally or operationally required. Email help@cyberducttape.com.
