The practice
Cyber Duct Tape is the infrastructure practice I built and operate.
I work on the systems that sit between an application and the people who depend on it: Linux hosts, web servers, PHP-FPM, databases, email, DNS, backups, migrations, security controls, and the automation around them.
The practice keeps the business context real. The open-source projects turn the recurring engineering lessons into inspectable tools and documented workflows.

How I work
Reduce risk first. Leave the next operator a better system.
- Understand impact, dependencies, and recent changes before broad intervention.
- Preserve evidence and recovery options whenever the incident allows it.
- Use temporary, least-privilege access and rotate it afterward.
- Document what failed, what changed, what remains risky, and how to verify recovery.
- Turn repeatable operational work into tested, inspectable tools and share the reasoning in documentation.
